Birthday Accessories Done Right

Adding birthday accessories to your list of party supplies might seem like an unnecessary step to add onto an already stressful planning experience, but a smart parent knows that just a couple of cheap trinkets here and there can make a huge difference to the party guests and really delight them for pennies on the dollar. Rather than being considered an added expense you should look at them as a vital part of the decorating process, and a real opportunity to customize the party and make the theme interactive for your children. Most party accessories are simple trinkets that can be broken down into a small number of categories to work with, allowing you to decide what would be best for the type of birthday party that you are planning for your child.

Hats are perhaps the single most common birthday accessories that you will find. These can be anything from simple paper cone hats with bright birthday lettering, to elaborate gem encrusted tiaras work by a precious little princess during her dragons and fairies birthday bash. These tend to be followed in popularity by the goodie bags that parents traditionally hand out at birthday parties for younger children. These grab bags are filled with everything from candy to little trinkets like bubble blowing kits and stickers or fake jewelry. If you would find it at a carnival it belongs in this bag. Costumes are much more elaborate and fun to play with, but far less common and often fairly expensive. However, when added to a themed party costumes can make all the difference in the world to a young child living out their daydreams at the party.

There are also plenty of smaller accessories that you generally only need a handful of for the party. Table displays, candles (when safe to use), and noisemakers all fit into this category. Sometimes a parent will invest in costume props like a plastic sword or a broom for a Quiddich match. These less common trinkets are a lot of fun, but are also entirely optional even for some of the most elaborate parties a parent could plan.

Need to find Toner?

Shopping online for ink and toner is probably the best option available for you. No matter what make or model printer you have, the fact is that online there are thousands of sellers competing to sell you the right ink and toner for it—all at once, every moment, of every day. Any good econ teacher can tell you that competition drives prices down, and so long as you know how to search the field, avoid low quality product, and plan for shipping, your ink and toner budget should be going down, down, down.
You should always start your toner search on the original manufacturer’s page. If only to laugh at the prices they propose. So many people just buy from the home page that they can afford to keep prices laughably high. On the other hand they will sell the highest quality product and will back it up with good service. So if you want premium product this is your stop—just be prepared to pay for it.
Stop two involves large online sellers and retailers. They will offer a variety of solutions with easy-search engines. You’ll be able to compare high volume cartridges, color, combo packs, OEM, remanufactured… you name it. You can pick the level of quality you want for the price you want. These are guys to stick with.
Avoid eBay and Amazon sellers. Too much competition here actually works against the system, as the lowest price search option yields penny inks from overseas that don’t work at all. And some of these sellers just mark it up a few dollars so it looks like their quality is a step up. Just stay away.

How to Get Student Loan Help

Do you need student loan help? If so you are not alone. More and more college graduates are finding that they aren’t able to make their monthly payments on their student loan debt. Companies aren’t hiring as much, and are focusing on applicants with higher level degrees. If you are stuck working a part time job but still need to pay the loan on your full time education, there are things you can do!

First off a word of warning: if you are considering declaring bankruptcy for your debt, this may not help you! For some reason, the US government does not view student loan debt the way it views all other forms of debt. When you go through the process of declaring bankruptcy you can be excused partly or completely from home loans, business loans, credit cards – even keep your house! But not student loan debt. That will stay with you unless you can prove “undue hardship,” which is hard to do unless you have an expert helping you.

However that doesn’t mean you don’t have options. The federal government has announced a “Pay As You Earn” program. if you apply for this program you could have your monthly payments adjusted down significantly. The government looks at your total monthly income, and estimates how much you have about the poverty line. The difference is your “discretionary income” and they will cap your student loan payments at 10% of this!

This program can be a wonderful way to get back on your feet and slow down the payments you have to make instead of defaulting.

Is an Omron Nebulizer Worth It?

Some people have allergies, and others asthma, and many have a troublesome combination of both. Allergy-induced asthma is a hassle to live with, but very easily managed with the right kind of treatment. A rescue inhaler or an Omron nebulizer, for example, are invaluable things to have when an allergy attacks very quickly turns into an asthmatic episode.

Doctors can prescribe the treatment best fitted to your situation. Making an appointment with your allergist may be the best course of action, especially if you have noticed an increase in your trouble breathing during exposure to an allergen. People with no history of asthma in their family can suddenly become symptomatic if their allergic responses to triggers becomes severe enough.

Most insurance plans will make you pay more to see a specialist, but after the first visit you typically don’t have to keep making co-payments for continued treatment. Allergy shots are a great way to reduce the risk of episodes occurring at all, but can be time-consuming. A successful shot treatment can take upwards of an entire year to complete, and the results may be marginal.

It’s always best to be prepared for either an allergy or asthma attack. Ask your doctor to prescribe a daily allergy medicine that will work for 24 hour periods. You can also get a prescription for a nebulizer and the medication that goes along with it. This is great to have when a severe attack happens and you need treatment at home instead of rushing to the emergency room.
